Easter: Series 3rd

It
was the full moon
mid-week between Palm Sunday and
Good Friday with Maundy Thursday leading to Easter

That
occasioned blessing
unexpected. More than a year I tried
capturing a camera image of the orange full moon

As
it descended above
Susquehanna's far river shore
silhouetting hilltop trees during wander not so aimless.

Many
a night I slept
not or slight, tracking the
moon's path only to loose it in horizon haze

Or
preoccupation with
nocturnal tasks most likely
desk-top publishing or computational.

So
when I rose
early morning & let out the cat,
my gaze unexpectantly lingered upon that

Familiar
face so charming looking
back just right reflecting upon
water's dark flow, big & orange behind the trees.

What
could I do but gather
my camera and linger snapping in haste
without a tripod, knowing my vision would be shaky.

Not
so unlike knowledge
lacking belief in faith's object...a Triune
understanding unshakeably arising with that dawn.
